Relatively few days have been lost to the recent snow on a number of sites. Its effect on the country's transport system has made it difficult for contractors to reach their sites but all have soldiered on in spite of snow drifts, freezing weather and the ensuing traffic chaos.
Haberdashers House, in Putney, pictured in the snow, is now nearing completion and work at a barn conversion, in a very exposed site in Godstone, Surrey, commenced in some of the worst weather conditions the country has seen in decades. Snow has forced the contractor working on a special needs bungalow in Lincolnshire to re-programme the work to concentrate on the internal alterations to the existing property.
As Spring approaches we hope our sites can look forward to some better weather. |
