Cowan Architects is delighted to have been awarded the task of performing Quinquennial Inspections for the local Sackville College.

The historic buildings that make up the college are beautifully maintained and the inclusion of the Quinquennial Inspection is intended to enhance and assist the existing regime of ongoing repair and maintenance.

For works arising out of a Quinquennial Inspection, we are always careful to approach such works in as sensitive way as possible. We discuss any remedial measures in detail with those responsible for the care of the building, involving them closely with regard to the implementation of repairs.

The benefits of undertaking a Quinquennial Inspection are innumerable. The report that is produced contains observations and recommendations for the fabric of the building as well as prioritising the work, grouping elements together according to urgency; this allows the client to plan ahead for works as well as assisting in forward planning in terms of expenditure.
