Cowan Architects, working with a local Housing Association, has recently submitted a Planning Application for a ‘zero carbon’ home in the heart of the High Weald.

The design will bring together local materials and Sustainable technologies to meet level 6, the highest level of the Government’s new ‘Code for Sustainable Homes’ standards. This standard is due to be applied to all new houses by 2016. The project contributes to Cowan Architects’ ongoing commitment to Sustainable design, and provides a useful opportunity to add to the practice’s knowledge of new environmental technologies.
