The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability is building new self-contained bedsits to be run as Transitional Living Units. The units are located in Haberdashers House and will be fully wheelchair accessible, with a height-adjustable kitchen and large wet-room style showers.
The aim of the new units is to allow people who have experienced a brain injury to re-learn life skills, such as cooking and budgeting, so that they may live independently. This forms a vital part of their rehabilitation before returning to their own homes. |
