Planning permission has recently been granted for a Play Café in East Grinstead town centre. This is a totally new facility that offers a café environment along with a large purpose-built soft-play area for children. There has been an enormous amount of interest and support for the proposal.

The retail area at the front of the shop unit leads to the curved servery counter, which is the focal point of the café area. There is a generous seating area for customers, which overlooks the childrens' soft-play area. The rear of the unit is completely re-modelled to provide new WCs and a fire-escape and on the first floor, the former offices are to be refurbished to provide activity rooms for children's parties.

Working drawings are underway and the cafe is aiming to open later this year.
